DB Cargo BTT is based in Mainz and is DB Cargo's specialist for dangerous goods. With some 170 employees at four locations, we realise approximately 12,000 block train transports and 340,000 single-wagonload consignments a year using our Europe-wide rail network. We offer logistics concepts featuring a wide range of rail logistics services and act as a one-stop shop for multimodal solutions.

Over 30 years of dangerous goods freight forwarding

In 1989, five forwarders and operators joined forces to create BTT Bahn Tank Transport GmbH. The mission: to shift the transport of dangerous goods to rail. Since then, we have been successfully implementing transport concepts with a focus on rail. We became part of Deutsche Bahn AG in 1994. In recent years, we have increasingly added new services to supplement our transport logistics. The market recognises DB Cargo BTT as an innovator in rail logistics services for chemicals and mineral oil.
