Strong logistics for our future

Germany has set itself the goal of becoming climate neutral by 2045. Green hydrogen offers a source of hope when it comes to avoiding carbon emissions. However, the infrastructure required to transport the volumes that are estimated to be needed by 2030 to industrial sites does not yet exist. This is where DB Cargo comes in.

Green logistics: Block train concept to achieve climate protection target

The principle is clear: the more goods that are transported by rail, the better for the climate. Many companies are therefore working on making their transport chain more sustainable. Often, like the chemical company CABB, they are teaming up with a strong partner such as DB Cargo to help them do so.

Successful start: Maxi Terminal Hamm opens for business

The new Maxi Terminal Hamm, which opened in September, offers a large combined transport portfolio and specialises in handling chemicals and dangerous goods. The year-round connection to the seaports in Antwerp and Rotterdam, the large dangerous goods storage facility with capacity for up to 1,200 containers and the ability to handle load units of any size are making Hamm a logistics hub for chemicals and dangerous goods.
