Plant shunting service – A strong team at your plant

From refineries to chemical parks, our shunting teams know transport equipment and dangerous goods regulations inside out. You can rely on them to work independently and professionally.

Shunting expertise

For customers whose premises have their own rail tracks, we can arrange wagon shunting and loading of goods on site. Our shunting staff are proficient in handling all types of wagon – from tank wagons to gas and hopper wagons. They refresh and expand their knowledge constantly in regular training courses.

At the right loading point at the right time

Our shunting locomotive drivers and foreman shunters work independently, following your plant's regulations, and continuously improve shunting processes. Many of our customers have been using our plant shunting service for years and have a well-rehearsed DB team on site. Ultimately, it is the result that counts: the wagons need to be at the right loading points at the right time and must reach the departure track in the correct order and facing the right direction.

Focus on safety

We are well aware of our responsibility when handling dangerous goods. This includes providing professional dangerous goods management within customers' plants. Thanks to regular training, our employees are always up to date with the latest knowledge concerning occupational safety and the transport of dangerous goods. In some plants, we also conduct regular safety walks with the customer to jointly inspect loading and track arrangements and identify hazards.
